1-Szkoa zimowa Nencki

On 15-16th December 2014 Nencki Institute of Experimantal Biology organized training in modern methods of imaging of macromolecules, cells etc. It was great opportunity to expand knowledge of the available imaging methods, their possibilities and limitations.

Training was devided into three parts: lectures, poster session and lab tour. On example of own results researchers from Nencki Institute described modern methods of macromolecules and cells imaging. Issues such as: fluorescent microscopy, two-photon microscopy or flow cytometry were described. On this training were present researchers from various state institutions. Winter School is a great initiative which allow to develope knowledge in the field of cell imaging. Both, organization and substantive part were on high level.

Winter School in Nencki Institute

Title: ,,Electrospinning: Exploiting Electrohydrodynamics And Rheology For The Control Of Nanofiber Structural And Physical Properties’’

Date: 1-5th September 2014

Place: Udine, Italy

udine 03

This training is a great opportunity to expand knowledge about electrospinning during lectures and discussions. During the course will be discussed issues such as:

  • present state of the art in electrospinning modeling and the related process of electrospraying,
  • critical parameters affecting fiber structures,
  • relation between electrohydrodynamics, polymer rheology and microstructure
  • formation morphology and molecular/supermolecular structure of the electrospun polymer nanofibers,
  • experimental methods of molecular/ supermolecular structure analysis.

The target audience is graduate students, PhD candidates and young faculty members. However, they are also welcome everyone interested in the subject of training. Detailed information about the course can be found at www.cism.it/courses/C1410/
